Synopsis:
The story is about a 12 year old girl who loses her mother in an automobile accident. Her father struggles with the loss of his wife and trying to raise his young daughter who believes her father is partly responsible for her mother's death. Belle's maternal grandfather is a changed man since losing his daughter in the accident. He finds it difficult to have a relationship with Belle since she is a constant reminder of her mother. It is Atticus the new puppy who will change Belle's life and the lives of those who love her.

Beautiful, beautiful film. There should be far more films made like this. Set in the real world it has many messages embedded in a storyline that oscillated from tragedy, to humour to tragedy, but never without hope. Much better than constant violence.

But with the pure instinct given the young, can be sometimes changed for the better.This kept me interested and I think most people can relate to in one way or another. Actor Peter Coyote always brings his best to any movie. Worth a watch & Family Friendly.

Awesome movie….I myself love animals, been around them all my life, and had many throughout my lifetime. I still have 4 elder cats which I’ve both raised from kittens and 2, which I adopted recently from a family moving to another state and couldn’t take them with them. People need to watch the behaviors of their animals, rather cats, dogs, horses, or any others for that matter, because they do sense things humans are unaware of or take for granted and just think it’s pure nonsense on their part. My adopted daughter’s dog knows when she is going to have a seizure and will warn her beforehand so she can either take some medicine she needs or stays close by and/or help arriving from family members. My step son, who was blind from birth, had a dog which helped him to remember his medication around a certain time, and always knew the time when he should take it. He wasn’t just taught this, he sensed it. They also can sense earthquakes just before it happens. Amen to this movie and God bless all of our critters, for without them, life would be far more lonelier and miserable. They bring comfort to our sorrowful souls and lives. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
