I was at the Olympic trials when she fell on her face. As an audience member I remember how on a personal level my heart sank when she hit the floor, being she was the queen of gymnastics and all. The standing was so surreal, but as if we collectively as a group felt a deep admiration for her all at the same moment. Like all of our hearts joined together for her. It was an awesome fan experience and one of such a human quality.

Andrew kudos to you for being an amazing host and allowing your guest to feel comfortable and safe talking with you. Also, you are very patient to allow Nastia to talk and share her feelings without interrupting her. Thank you Nastia for sharing such difficult issues with deep feelings involved. This was truly an amazing interview!

“I thought that I was done starting over.” 💔 No matter what aspect of life it is, it can be really difficult.

Im a bit late responding to this but i relate to how tough a breakup can be. Was with my partner for 17 years, 2 kids, house, etc, best of friends, we got along like a house on fire, but one day he just up and left me. 12 Years later im still trying to get over it, it is very tough, especially if you dont have people to talk to and help you get over it.

I remember seeing Nastia fall at the Olympic trials, but I also remember still thinking that she was absolutely incredible. Thank you Nastia for being so vulnerable and willing to share your experience. You are an incredible athlete and person. And thank you Andrew for being kind and giving her an opportunity to share! Love you both💙

Nastia. I’ve been going though this same thing was engaged. I was building a home with this person we had planned the wedding and everything. It’s been a very long year and it’s still so hard. I Could go on for hours about this. But just know... you are strong for even coming out and talking about this. I understand what you are going though. You are amazing to me for speaking about this. You words really spoke to me. Thank you so much 💜

I admire Nastia's courage and strength to be so vulnerable. Thank you Nastia for choosing to be so open. I hope she gives another interview not about her engagement ending. I want her to tell her thoughts and opinions about USA Gymnastics. In her own words.

Nast, thanks for sharing this. I've been in a spot where I felt stuck and felt like a failure. Your support system really is everything. You're lucky that you have great friends like Andrew and Shawn. Change can be a great thing, and I know you're gonna put your best foot forward. We're all here for you and will always support you. Much love

I'm glad to hear you open up about this and the very respectful way Andrew brought it up. When your life, and the future you thought was a sure thing, changes so drastically over such a short time, it's like the rug is pulled out from under you. Thank you for your vulnerability Nastia and sharing the insight you've gained over these last few months. Praying for you

Oh My God. Andrew that was a great interview. I know this was mostly about Nastia, what you said about feeling like you have let your family down after you got cut from your job, I can so relate to it and I had tears in my eyes because that's EXACTLY how I have been feeling. And coming up to Christmas, it just makes everything raw as hell. How did you move foreward? I'm glad that you have such a supportive family. It certainly is a necessity.

The beginning of this video, where she's talking about failing, is eye opening.
Athletics is a soft subject, for a lot people, but knowing she's open about talking about her failure is incredible. Performance failure or even life failure, you'll forever be changed. If something doesn't work out, it opens a new door; relationships, contracts, etc. Nastia, you're an amazing character for everyone, from little kids to the elders. You're used to being great at something and that kind of set you up for failure due to real life concepts. I'm glad you had that one moment of failure that shaped you into the women you are, especially talking about. Keep talking about it, it'll help so many people including myself. I needed this video and needed to hear certain things you said. So for that, thank you. Keep being you, please.
