Thank u both men. This war shows how much of a freak Robbie was. Robbie fought a war in his very next fight against carlos condit, winning a decision. Robbie fought like this his whole life. People tend to forget about his 2 wars with Johnny Hendricks or the one against Matt brown. These were all absolute wars and he only lost a decision to Hendricks the 1st time and won the rest. The damage he accumulated in each one of these fights never had an affect on his fighting ability. Rory was never the same after this fight, his 2nd against Robbie. He was young and Robbie snatched his prime. Robbie was born for this, very few people are.

I loved the story of this fight. Lawler, the old ufc vet who went from complete obscurity outside the UFC to a compete killer and new champ once he got back in. Fighting Rory, a kid who was supposed to be the future of the sport, but I just didn't like his personality. THE most exciting fight I've ever seen. The fact that Mcgregor was going to fight right after made this card all the more special.
