Roblox PLEASE Remove The Trade Hold

at the minimum they atleast have to reduce the hold period after buying a limited from 7 days to 2 days because a week just to wait for your limited after buying it is absurd

trade holds are the reason I quit trading, when I got back to trading it was so much harder to trade, now I just trade small items which is even more of a pain

I agree, this feature is stupid, a better solution would be to make it so when it detects a device that is unrecognised your trades are halted until you re-activate them VIA 2 step or auth.


(Edit, I know that this solution only helps the hacking situation and not the gambling one so for the gambling one start tracking the people on these sites and ban them accordingly, aswell as instead of terminating accounts with rare items and losing them forever, these items are put up to a sort of auction on roblox so they dont just disappear)

I absolutely agree. I just look at my items slowly drop because I can’t do anything about them until it’s off hold.

I agree the holding period is useless roblox destroyed one of the best features they had ( trading ) making it worse and almost impossible to use unless u have millions and millions of robox.

Roblox thinks they need to “protect” your account. I mean, sure, I get that security is important. Nobody wants to wake up one day to find their account wiped clean. But the way these trade holds work is absolutely ridiculous! Three to seven days of your items being in limbo?! Why?! It kills all the momentum and the excitement of trading!

And let’s not forget the social awkwardness this causes in Trade Hangout. You’re standing there, trying to negotiate a deal, but when you drop the dreaded words, “Yeah, uh… there’s a trade hold, ” the other person just walks away. They don’t have time for your hold issues—they’re there to hustle and close deals, not babysit your pending trade.

I really hope they see this i agree 100% with everything you said, the hold period made me quit for a year or more i recently got back i went from 10k to 18k in like 2 weeks and i could of for sure got more if i wasnt waiting 2 days at a time for my items to get off hold. I see where they are coming from with this method but its just useless its not helping.

I can't BELIEVE that they still have the trade hold period as a "helpful" feature. People still hack accounts on a daily basis and people still gamble limiteds. Maybe roblox can get better moderation instead of ruining everybody elses experience because their moderation team can't seem to do their job with this sort of stuff. IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE ROBLOX!!!

Yeah i’m between 2.3M to 2.2M since 2023. I had the St Patricks Day fairy hoard only for it to go down again and again. I have not made much progress. (10M goal that I dreamed of). Takes 1 month or longer just for another 200k-400k hoard. Sometimes I spend money. I need like 2 for some overpays. Depends.

Roblox hired people with 87 IQ. Rollbacks don’t work for people you know who got hacked, no matter how much evidence, and screenshots they provide. It’s like a nonreply message or automated. She got her account restored but not her limiteds, during compromise. Garbage.

I might just semi-retire trading or just quit Roblox completely and not care about what goes on anymore. And move on to other games. The only game i play tho is Natural disasters and Driving Empire. Thats literally it. The rest of their site has games that are retarded, brain rot and cash-grab gambling; targeting kids. Also because i’m getting into adulthood, born (2001), getting tired of dealing with Roblox’s bullcrap updates and news.

Ok but Roblox trading was ok, they didn’t need to change anything. Just security. Whoever’s idea that was, didn’t think logically, or with enough contingency. Let’s see how Roblox reputation goes in 5 years lmfao.

Yeah I agree, even after my items got stolen the holding period did not help me at all as Roblox usually take a lot longer than 2 days to reply 🤷🏻

i totally agree with highly, its nearly impossible to start trading with 100 item. i see it one hundred times easier to trade without holding period.

I think there's a reason that Roblox is trying to keep quiet. If you got the items quicker it could be easier to sell them for cheap and crash the market. One thing I notice with the holding period is that it's not always accurate. Sometimes items you got at the same time finish holding on different days. This makes it more difficult to mass buy an item and then sell it for really cheap. This protects the market but it's still not a good enough reason.
