This is still one of the most consistently interesting channels I've ever come across.
It's also very plain he loves that horse.

As a fellow Englishman myself, I am half tempted to sack everything off in my life and apply to be your squire. You genuinely seem to just enjoy life and I think a simpler existence would benefit us all!

I had one horse who would take my gloves off by the fingers and another one who loved to grab the tab on my coat zipper and zip it up and down. What a couple of clowns!

Important safety tip: don't ride in a cloak or cape with only a single closure at the neck, as many "costume" type cloaks have. If the cloak slips to one side while you're horseback, and your horse proceeds to step on it, you can easily get choked. (Don't ask how I know this...) Also, I didn't sit on my cloak, as this rider did, but allowed it to drape over the cantle of my saddle and my horse's quarters like an English hunt-field "rump rug". Amazing how it trapped the horse's body heat and kept both of us warm.

Big kudos to you for patiently taking training opportunities with your young horse in the field!

My old grandad, he was born in the late 1800, he worked in his own woods in the winter pulling lumber with horses, it is easier when its snow. He never wore gloves. And the Scandinavian winters are cold. Maybe it comes with adjusting to it, being out in the cold makes you notice it less. But it comes and bites you in the behind when you get old with all sorts of ailments in the bones and joints.

Gotta love it when your horse decides something your wearing looks tasty. xD

You ride him so quietly even when he’s dancing around and trying to do other things. Mad respect 😊 love your horse videos!

I know it's weird, but Talos's personality--wanting to get attention, doing tricks without being told, being a goofball--he really reminds me of my dog. Love the video, love you, love Talos

I really like Talos. Such a playful boy, he really has a mind of his own. Looking forward to seeing more of you two. I remember that the Australian rain coat I used had some ties around the shins. Nothing fancy, you just tied a knot and your legs were better protected from the weather. This also prevented the long coat ends from flapping around. Maybe in the middle ages they had something similar?

I would've learned so much more in high school if I had had a teacher so interested and intent on knowledge transfer! I loved medieval history way before finding your channel, but can't get enough of what/how you teach it! Thank you so much Jason.

A few years ago when we had a farm, one of the horses did not like the sheep. He would take a mouthful of wool and puck up the sheep and toss the sheep out of his way.

Talos is so bold and adventurous! He seems like a big kid, willing to put up with whatever as long as it means he gets to go play.

He really is gorgeous. And his little prank biting your cloak was adorable. 🤣

Love how Talos greeted the sheep! 😂 lol
I grew up with our neighbor's farm pasture literally in my backyard, where they kept an Arabian stallion and goats together. That horse was the sweetest thing; he even let the goat kids climb on his back!

I love that horse! He has personality. He walked up to those sheep and introduced himself properly. Then he had a meal of cloak.😊
