I have a very old Glockenspiel that does not have the same pattern or fastening that you describe. Is there any way to find information on repairing this beautiful instrument. Someone before me appears to have cleaned the keys. They seem to have some sort of gold key, silver key. 2 gold, 2 silver etc.? What type of paint do you suppose they used. Milk paint?

btw.. a small piece of wood to place under hammer to elevate hammer claw away from wood for better angle and avoid scratching might help 🎵👍

Hi Dr. Lissa, We have a vintage glockenspiel with screws with rubber and felt under the metal bars. Do you know if this would work with different width felt than what is on it? Or where to get the screws and felt? Thanks

What kind/color marker would use to make the letters more visible on glocks and metallophones?
