Kappabashi, I AM coming. Thank you for the lovely video. I am 2 years late, but I absolutely enjoyed it.

Memories of trips to Japan keep flooding back as I recall many superb shopping experiences in Ginza, Kappabashi, Asakusa. I purchased in large supply some beautifully designed paper products from stores selling washi paper, stationery, gift papers/bags of different sizes for every occasion. I’m still using them today. Thank you, Shinichi and Satoshi for your wonderful forays into popular and/or historical sights, and restaurants featuring a variety of cuisine throughout Japan.

Japanese metal craftsmanship is best for knives and scissors ✂️ and specially in making katana, amazing.

Thank you for sharing Kappabashi! I am creating a guide of this area with Asakusa Tourism Centre and I wanted an idea of what to expect. Your guide is awesome and you're an amazing creator!

I'm pretty sure that the building that he thought was a temple was actually a funeral home or something of the sort.... I was there with my Japanese boyfriend in 2014 and we wandered down that exact street. I'm pretty sure that's what he said it was....
I have so many memories returning to me while watching his video 🤩

If I ever get to come to Japan those are the places I want to find. I want to go where other tourists dont go because I feel like this is where I would really learn about the culture and the people. Im sure the tourist spots are all lit up and full of entertainment and shops but where real life for non- tourist focused cooks, farmers and normal people live and work!

Hi Shinichi! This was a fun livestream...I am so sorry I missed it. Thank you for showing us around wonderful Kappabashi. The three-part bun with custard, chocolate, and anko looked so oishii! As far as potato salad, I like both types, but I've grown to like Japanese potato salad better than American potato salad. I think it is more interesting. But I like kabocha salad even better! It is my favorite! I hope the livestream with Ai went well. Sending get-well wishes to Satoshi!!!!

Kappabashi is great, prices are reasonable and great selection of knives. Many of the shop owners speak little English and offer tax rebates. Any purchases over ¥5, 000 which is just under $50.00 and they have the tax refund sign, you can get the tax refunded. This applies to any shop in Japan, but you must ask, not all shops offer the tax refund.

It’s amazing that the streets, alleyways, parks and public areas, etc., are mostly free of litter, cigarette butts, food wrappings, etc.; just a personal observation/opinion.
