What if my recording from YouTube is echoing but I don't want it to? I found out what I was doing wrong! I had to turn off "listen while recording" in recording settings. Problem solved!

I have come to the conclusion after multiple tutorilas my echo effect simply does not work. EDIT: You need a adequate amount of silence following your sound for it to echo. You can add silence by selecting "generate" then "silence".
