It seems he takes a lot of pride of being on heaven as if he passed the test and then he can do as he pleases, especially killing sinners (which must be the best for him since he seems to thrive on "punish" the one who rejected him), and then if someone tells him that he in fact is definitely not virtuous precisely for that then he acts enraged because he doesn't want to think that he could fall.

1:41 I find it brilliant how this scene uses the hellfire showed by the orb for (IMO) two clear purposes:

- First, the fire is reflected in Sera's eyes, and you know what they say: "The eyes are the windows to the soul". Emphasizing the corruption and meanness deep inside her and behind her actions.

- Right after that, we see that hellfire again, but as a background behind Emily. Likely, a foreshadowing revealing that Emily could become a fallen angel in the future and be exiled to Hell for her dissents, just like Lucifer.
