Unreal tuning. I’ve messed around with alternative tunings but this one from Johnny wins the prize for craziest tuning to write the best song. We actually toured with the Goos in 1999 (Fastball opened) and they were playing this song because it had just come out. Magic every night

I've only been playing for six months and it just really astounds me how musicians develop this intuitive sense for music.

John presumably just sat down one day and was like "You know what would sound good? Every string tuned to D except for the low E string which obviously should be tuned to B1."

I'm a long time fan, absolutely refer u to everyone learning guitar... My buddy ("grant"), the guy who taught me guitar, recently fell off a 5 story building in NY, he claims the guitar in his hand broke his fall (it's now broken tho). He's doing alright but has alot of broken bones. I'm trying to cheer him up... Used to watch Marty all the time when i was starting out guitar (13 years old and I'm now 23). Can say I also now make my own music and have professional musician degree! So cool to have him pop up on my recommended videos!! Looking good!
