Scarlett - animated short (Scarlett Contra el Cancer)

Scarlett is a short film depicting the inner struggle of a girl who lost a leg to Ewing Sarcoma, a bone cancer that occurs in mostly children. Amputation takes as much of an emotional toll as a physical one - especially for a child. We believe in the power of entertainment media to empower children through storytelling and role models. Visibility in media offers these children hope and a sense of belonging at a critical time where they may feel isolated by their medical condition.

Update: the chemo hasn’t worked, but they’re going to operate on her to hopefully remove her tumour. Everything’s a bit uncertain at the moment, but thank you all for the kind messages :’) it means a lot ❤️

I saw a story about a girl with a leg tumor who had to get part of her leg amputated. They reattached her foot, backwards, in place of her knee. She wears a prosthetic and is able to dance on pointe shoes. This reminded me of her.

My aunt fought cancer for a decade, but we loss her last year. Though it was devastating and painful, we had to let her go and let her feel no more pain. We miss her everyday. She's one of the reason why I see life as a beautiful gift and why I try my best to cherish every moment with the important people in my life! She was a living testimony!

1.When I wake up the blanket isn't perfectly on me its in the corner of my bed instead of on me
2.When I go to school kids don't chase each other in circles

5 years ago as a child I found this animated short and started listening to the song.... as things happen time went on I forgot about it.... Today suddenly thought about it now 5yrs later as an adult I'm seeing it it gave me goosebumps throughout the whole song....Yet has the same magic to it....Such a motivational video such motivational song! Beautiful!

guys my sister has the exact same type of cancer as the girl in this video and she doesn't stop her from her gymnastics as she is a gymnist she also has a prosthetic leg she has watched this video with me and she cried as she knows how it feels to have cancer

we found out that she had cancer 2 years ago when she was 5 and we have all been by her side

she was bullied for having her new leg
don't bully people who are in these type of situations
you don't know how they feel
you don't know what it's like
you don't realise they need your help really badly
stop bullying the innocent

I had cancer, well I still do. I remember I first went to the hospital and they said I had cancer, I was so upset I cried and cried, till someone in the room next to me at the hospital told me something heartwarming. He told me “don’t give up, just because you have cancer doesn’t mean your not pretty, you can’t do anything, you can’t believe, and be happy, you should be happy to who you are, no one can tell you otherwise.” And after that I felt better at myself, I spent almost 2 years in hospital with cancer and every single time I went to chemo or took medicine I thought of him, he had told me he had bad blood cells in his leg, which meant I think he had to have it amputated. I never forgot him or his words and every time I felt bad I kept believing. Now I’m almost cancer free! But still have 6 months of chemo left, my heart was warm and felt better just for his kind words <3.

I lost my fav uncle to cancer.. he used to be such a strong man, a boxing teacher and also just a very strong man, without any fear. At the end of his long journey full of suffering, he couldnt even lift his head anymore. He left in peace, in his sleep, but I miss him still..
