Netflix by mail was great because they would have stuff that Netflix on demand didn’t.

I have physical evidence of this. My mom lost a DVD and had to pay for it. After we found it, I carefully kept that DVD in its original Netflix envelope. I still have it.

The first time I watched _STAR WARS Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, _ we got the DVD from Netflix. That was in the late 2000s.

When I first heard of Netflix, I begged my parents to get us to sign up. The idea of getting DVDs delivered straight to your house was just amazing to me. We did eventually get you Netflix, but that was years later after they had already discontinued DVD delivery’s.

Ben 10 season 1 on DVD is still a powerful childhood memory. God that was my favorite show hands down as a kid.

Man I can't believe this but I actually remember getting Netflix through the mail once. It was a copy of the first Goosebumps episode since they didn't have it streaming. I can still remember my mom telling me about Goosebumps and I was so excited for it..

Super glad that you don't have to order it anymore. Even though the tension was a lot of fun, I still prefer just getting to watch what I want when I want.

My dad worked for the DVD side of Netflix all the way up until they officially closed earlier this year, so it kinda baffles me that people don’t know they did DVD’s, but it also makes complete sense

I miss this service, tbh. You could get stuff they never had on streaming. I watched shows that were otherwise impossible to find (and still are) using the mail DVDs.
