When I first read the information about this episode before it's aired about someone in Homer's life passes away I have no idea at the time which characters is going to die but I never thought to be a background character like Larry.

isnt it funny that in the last 34 years, no one gave a damn about Larry but the moment his death is now canon suddenly EVERYONE wants to remember him like he's as iconic as... well Homer or bart

yeah i get it, he's been around for all this time but calling him beloved or iconic sounds like such a cop out, no one talks about him UNTIL his death, its a classic case of "you dont miss something until it is truly gone"
