I Love This 50 Year Old Lens!

Old lens designs are the best. I converted a Minolta 58 1.2 to EF a few years ago, and I’m still using an EF-converted Contax Zeiss 24-85 3.5-4.5 zoom— my only zoom. I shoot only Zeiss primes on my Canons.

I got the SSC version for about 25 bucks! It has minor scratches on the front glass but the image quality is still superb.

Old Canon lenses are great especially this one. Used it as well and its still one of my best "old" lenses

I've always preferred Olympus's "vintage" lenses. Their older Zukios were very cheap for their clarity and speed a few years ago, not sure if it's still like that. I think my 50 is 1.6 and my 28 is 2.2, can't remember off the top of my head.

wow, how'd you get a chrome nose 50mm f1.4 for under 100. Ive gotten other versions for pretty cheap, but the earlier chrome nose variant is pretty special for collectors.

An early Canon FD with a Breech Mount. FDs went to Bayonet about 1980. A NICE LENS! BTW, Breech and Bayonet mount FDs are FULLY interchangeable.

Normally a blade count goes along with an old lens rave. Like the 8 blade Pentax 50mm. The Carl Zeiss 50mm for Rollei is a great lens too. Stick with fotodiox as an adapter. Some adapters will cause tightened movement of the focus and f stops at their far extremes. Adapters should come with alan wrenches which allow you to keep all your lenses printed data on the upper side, like on an M42 adapter. Lenses from Ukraine on ebay do arrive. And you can find some true bokeh monsters with 15 or 20 blades. In excellent shape. Those are 135mm 2.8 lenses. Have fun.
