Everybody complaining about Liv Kristine (the "blond chick"), remember she's not their actual new female vocalist. She was just filling in until they found an official replacement. Which they have, and she's pretty good. And their new hurdy gurdy player is great, and her story is amazing.
You can't expect brand new members to have the same chemistry that the former members had; they had been in the band for years. Give the new Eluveitie a chance. I'm not thrilled about Anna, Ivo, and Merlin leaving either, but I have faith in the band.

The problem isn't just Anna being gone, it's that you can't hear the spirit of Elu anymore when they play, the replacement musicians don't suck, but they do not feed each other, and feed off each other musically like a band who has been playing together as long as they did. Maybe they will never sounds the way they once did, but I am still a fan so I will support and listen to both bands.

Unpopular opinion: They were great before Anna, with Anna, and after Anna. Anna is a gift from the heavens, but Eluvietie is still great. Don't forget that it takes time to build chemistry within a band. It takes time for musicians to become a singular unit. These are session musicians

I experienced a rising hype for the new vocalist's voice during the transition in King at 3:39, was thinking to myself "Okay, let's show us what you've got!"...and if I was left disappointed, that would be an understatement :<

As a lifelong fan since their inception, man how sad to see them slowly just loose their identity with all the members that go. At least the songs are timeless. Particularly the early few.

nothing against Liv Kristine. loved her work with Leaves Eyes, but Ana's voice worked so much better for Eluvietie.

Yeah wow, those middle songs really hurt. Always hardest for a band to approach old music with new members and to lose 3 such influential members in one go.... it shows. What I really want to hear is the new music they produce, will Eluveitie grow in an interesting new direction that I appreciate?
I hope so, I am heartbroken that my favorite band has seen such a monumental line up change but such is life.
