Women's reservation bill has been passed in Lok Sabha with 454 votes in favour. Two Parliamentarians have voted against the motion in Lok Sabha, House Speaker Om Birla said.

The bill, named Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, was introduced in the Lok Sabha by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. It will come into effect only after a delimitation exercise is completed and is therefore unlikely to be in force during the next Lok Sabha election in 2024.

My question is to every government that has ruled India till date, which even after 75 years of India's independence has not been able to uplift the scheduled castes and backward castes, since reservation is still needed, then it can be said that the government has failed in its work. I am not against reservation, but reservation should be on economic infrastructure. If someone is economically weak he gets reservation if he is not economically weak he gets reservation only for OBC, ST category it cannot be 20th century logic. If someone is economically weak whatever category SC OBC or General he/she should get government reservation or help. Stop this dirty politics.
