The Taylor Swift Stan that went to Prison

A Taylor Swift fan account, LegitTayUpdates on Twitter, went inactive for 2 months in 2019, as they were in a prison in Israel. Once the Swiftie made a returning tweet explaining their lack of parody updates, the Taylor Swift Updates account went viral on stan twitter. From sneaking in One Direction fanfiction to punching a guard in the face, legittayupdates managed to update their followers of their prison antics, through letters given to a friend. After a series of news articles and a podcast interview that allowed they to educate others, N, the account owner, disappeared after their accounts were removed.

N appears in episode 60. For this video, I have edited certain parts of the podcast audio out, for the sake of time.

She’s the type of person I aspire to be/be friends with. She stood for her morals, faced punishment for it and came out brushing it off like it was nothing, and when she received millions of views and attention she made sure to draw back everyone to the issue at hand and set up a fundraiser for Palestine all while being hilarious and down to earth. I was mutuals with her on both of her accounts before she deactivated! I would like to clear up a couple of things on her whereabouts (but take my info with a grain of salt since I have no sources) — she was living in the States but for some reason had to go back to Israel to be with her immediate family around the time the pandemic hit.
The Australia thing... is something different. She's talked about how she used to be neighbors with Felix from Stray Kids while her family lived in Australia as a kid (her father nearly ran him over, apparently). I won't debate the validity of that anecdote, but I didn't realize rumors that the whole thing was fake have become so widespread until this year. People even think she isn't Israeli even though she's spoken/written Hebrew before? It's sad that she isn't here to defend herself, but it does appear that she deleted her remaining socials for her mental health (she was radio silent a month before deactivating). I can only say that I hope she's doing okay now, she helped bring awareness to a good cause regardless.

I find it quite funny that people think ‘stans’ are unintelligent, especially admins for update accounts. if they’re from a country different than the artist, they speak more than one language, are proficient in photoshopping and video editing and even coding and are able to organise entire events from their phones. All of that while maintaining a normal ‘real’ life with jobs, school/university.

The fives holes in the fence thing was a tswift theory in the lover era where Taylor posted a picture with her and and a fence. Swifties theorised on what it could mean but it was a a dead end and became a joke in the swiftie community that it could still mean something/ that not everything Taylor posts is an Easter egg
