Male VAs actually have voiced Luffy in the past. He was voiced by Eric Vale in Funi's 2002 test dub of the series, and shortly after that, he was voiced by a guy named Chuck Powers in Odex's long-forgotten Singaporean English dub.

I mean that does not make any sense. Luffy at the start of the series is 17, his voice was supposed to sound deep from the very beginning. This is an unpopular opinion of mine but i was never a fan of the whole female voice actor for male protagonist thing in the first place

Btw the fanart of Oda that is seen in the beginning doesn't depict Oda. That's another guy that somehow comes up when you google Oda which is why so many people believe that it's actually Oda. There are very few public pictures of Oda. Actually only one that I know of.
