They’re called “Pneumatic bones” and humans have them too! Our facial bones and a few other bones throughout the body are Pneumatic bones :)

I never knew this. I am a little upset that we were not taught this in school. We were always taught the bones are hollow because it makes them lighter so birds can fly and we left that no more conversations about bird bones.
