Hey, this video was amazing as always, but I do have a question. I'm planning to build a PC soon that can efficiently handle most of the 13B local LLM models. Can you provide recommendations for the specific CPU components to use? I've searched extensively but haven't found the relevant information.

Thanks for the demo. What is your machine and how many tokens per second did you get? It was quantized to 4bit? How much RAM does it require?

Hope, this model will be updated to llama 3 structure.

Great videos. anyway, i have a question: is there adifference between Q4 and Q8 in code production ? does Q8 produces code with less errors? what do you think?

Tks for this video. I'm Brazilian, I do not speak English very well, but I made an effort to leave a comment here to engage.

beyond simple programs, i have found Code LLAMA 70B selectively ignores instuctions.
At least GPT4 'apologizes' when I point out its mistakes !

Thank you for the video, It would be great if you can compare the code generated to something like gpt3.5 or gpt 4 generated, it would be great.

Gotta say I found it to be awful. I gave it a couple of my scripts and asked questions about them but the answers it gave were ridiculous, things like "Comment: It's unclear what you want your code to do exactly. Can you elaborate more?"

Hey Mervin, I found this method where the genius guy dissected the LLM by way of it's RAM usage and managed to optimize the 70b codellama for 4GB RAM. Way beyond my comprehension, but maybe you can make sense of it 😊

The instruct model is terrible, asked it to generate angular code and it gave me some garbage and then stopped. I then just tried the base model and it seem to do what I asked but really failed to giving the correct code. It also got stuck in a loop where it kept spitting out optional code. I had to bring it entirely down because it was maxing out my cpu and gpu. Not impessed. Runs way too slow on a 12 core cpu with 64GB RAM and a 3080 RTX GPU. I ended up deleting the model.

5.00 or 5.00123234234 is not the same thing at all, there is a function to make it to decimals of .00 and round it to the closest, being .001 is closer to .00 then .01 so it makes it .00 but if the program is expecting 5.00, and you give it a number with more than 2 decimals of course it is going to say it is wrong. :p
So no, that is not a pass, maybe the question is wrong, and the result expected is wrong according to what it was asked you to do, but like I said if the reader for the result says it needs to be with 2 decimals, well if you give more than 2 decimals it is always going to be wrong.

any time I ask this model about things like pytorch it freaks out and says things like "Please make sure you use appropriate language and avoid using harmful or offensive content." I can assure you that I'm only asking normal programming questions and this type of behavior from a model is unacceptable. Honestly I find this model Garbage at real world uses. Sure it can write little cute programs you can find online practically already but It fails when given more complex task, I'm not asking it to write hacks or exploits. Im not even expecting it to Preform level 2 thinking .An AI being trained to suffer from a cognitive dissonance: By excluding something, we're being more inclusive. The first computer science class I took in college was ethics of computer science. As an adult human I feel insulted that I would be gate keeped by a program that cant actually discern ethics. If someone can Fine tune this model and remove the garbage censorship I might change my mind. I understand why You might want to put a small filter on these things so you don't get something that is actually racist or what not but when your filter is disabling normal use of the model then you've messed up.

Lol . Almost but it won’t help for the finals 😂

I did some test on paplexity lab and it out performed gpt4 on bing. I told it to generate a snake game in kivy and it did it I could even control it. Gpt 4 however was less impressive I also told it to create a calculator in kivy which also outperformed gpt4
