Why Couldn't Jesus' Disciples Cast Out a Demon From a Young Boy? [Luke 9:37-48][Lesson 51][WTTB]

After the transfiguration, Jesus came with his disciples and met a multitude. Among the people was a boy who was possessed by a demon. His father tried to get Jesus' disciples to cast out the demon, but they couldn't. Why couldn't they do this, seeing as how Jesus gave them this power earlier? In Lesson 51 of our study of Luke we learn the answer to this question.

Thanks brother. So does suggest that we should be or have the authority to cast out demons as long as we have faith? I just feel im exhalting myself on Jesus level by attempting to cast demons or heal people
