It was one of the biggest and most scandalous trials in the world. Where is Princess Haya now? Very wise woman who has really put her children first. The Sheikh would have never given the children to her if he had half a chance. It's nice to know that she came to the UK who have equal rights and sided with her at the courts. She is far more happier without the Sheikh. Good for her. She is still young and beautiful. She used her immense personal wealth to flee, her political power as the sister of a king to petition for asylum, and had the good fortune of having a favorable judge ruling in her custody case. Even so, she is still not safe from stalking and harassment. She will need security personnel around her and her children for the rest of their lives. If there is such little hope for someone in her privileged position, think of the hardships faced by less fortunate women in her situation all around the world.

I also appreciate that she used her voice to try to help Latifa and Shamsa, who are clearly still in captivity despite Sheikh Mohammed’s thinly-vailed PR stunts to try to save his reputation. Proof of life (pictures of Latifa) is not the same as freedom. We all see right through the lies. She is still captive. #freelatifa #whereisshamsa
