I see it's using filament not a pellet/shredded material extruder. Are you also manufacturing the recycled PET filament? I've been looking for a source for that but it's hard to find PET at all, much less recycled, only PETG that's an inferior printing material.

Is there more information about this project? The machine or the material? The link to the university site is only a link back to this video and the same information as the video description.

I have so many suggestions i don't know here to begin.
I think in this size printer you really make it future prof so it could be able to sustain the pressure. I would have used much bigger belts, i would use aluminum parts for all the core-xy gantry and i would have to make sure to lock the y gantry together from at least one side (like blv-mgn, vz-bot, ratrig, etc...)
And finally but not less importante please use 4040 extrusions next time, just not for the x gantry there i think will be best to order carbonfiber part sorry for the judgment.

Ohh last thing.. I like the z lead screws instead of the belts solution like in the voron 2.4 hope it is a liniar bolt screw.

What did you recycle ?
The color looks pretty consistent and it warps at the ends, suggesting purchased ABS filament you bought on ebay ?
