I've had a number of requests to do a complete tour of the layout again as many parts of it have changed significantly since the previous tour in 2021. I've done my best to go over just about everything I can think of in detail. I hope this updated tour will bring you up to speed with the current state of the layout.

This layout is a work of art. It is not how we wish the world to be, nor is it how we nostalgically remember the world to be, it is very much how the world actually was. Having lived through this period of the railway I really appriciate the honest and accurate approach. Great tour, great update, and look forward to many more videos!!!

You have no idea of the sheer joy I feel when one of your newly released videos pop up. And I am not even particularly interested in railway modelling either. I’ve just spent a lovely hour watching this, and am looking forward to whenever you release the next one. Great to see, and great to watch. Thanks for all your efforts, Richard, both with the layout and the videos. You should be very proud of what you achieve.

Absolutely beautiful layout. You've got the track/scenery balance spot on, and the trains look like they're actually going somewhere rather than round and round.

Richard, I'm always impressed by how you've not fallen into the trap of the "track has to be everywhere" style of model railways. By being smart and relinquishing and devoting an entire scenic side of the room for your fiddle yard as opposed to the necessary evil of helixes to access under layout storage, you've absolutely nailed it for me. Of course, there's nothing wrong with wanting to fill up every piece of usable space with track, but for me it's so much more realistic with the planning and restraint you've shown and now you have a layout that has the uncluttered look and feel of the real settings you're modelling while still keeping the enjoyment of watching trains run with minimal derailments and other sometimes unavoidable issues. Keep the great content coming mate! Dan.

Probably the first time I've watched an hour long YouTube video in full! Brilliant work!

Absolutely stunning track. I was 8 in 1989 and you have nailed the urban decay beautifully. And nice to see an Austin Maestro too!

I do love this layout. I’m enjoying watching your page even as a US modeler.

I used to drive epbs through the Atlantic lines, down to Stewarts lane and round and down into Victoria. I know those houses in Brixton, drove past them about a million times. Every single detail is absolutely stunning, there are several places where the cable troughing is in poorer states than those displaced covers. When i did my traction exam going down to Basingstoke, there was an occaision when due to squirrels damage the wooden troughing blew up and caught fire, (they had nested in and chewed through cables, set all on fire) we used to say that you knew you were getting closer to London as the grafitti got closer together. You are marvellous.🏆🏆🏆I willingly award you these championship cups.

I don’t like modelling, I don’t like model railways, I don’t even like trains in the slightest but I’ve been subbed to you for years and I’m completely addicted to EJ, never stop mate.

Stop putting yourself down, what you have created is absolutely ruddy marvellous and typical of my train driving experiences for BR. F i could shrink myself down to scale, i would fit right in. I am retired now, but what you have made is fantastic.

Great layout, thanks for sharing. So true to the time!
While we were seeing the lockups I was imagining Arthur Daley and Terry from Minder getting up to some dodgy business. Along with a Ford Capri and a Jaaaag with a blown head gasket. Cheers !
