For anyone having trouble, after dying and interacting with the goat statue
Activate co op and go to your temple and select the crown option. Hope this helps

i got a fixaround for players who cant play as the goat

1. If you have a pro controller (or any controller knock off or not) do Co op,

2. Go to your temple

3. Use altar as lamb

4. Go to crown

5. Goat time (if you have the sin)

I actually found out that 1. Beat game 2. Use co op once and 3. Die in any dungeon. Nutshell 3 conditions needed to unlock the goat no more no less

I accidentally discovered this myself (I also plugged in a spare controller temporarily to get all the multiplayer tarot cards and relics).
Now onto stuff I discovered on purpose:
Pettable trait ID (for those who want to add that trait to their favourite follower via savefile editing, like in my case Hano) is 69 (first of all, nice, second of all, missed opportunity to make the Polyamorous trait be 69)

do u need to buy the pilgrim pack? i died and i got the weird scary goat thing where i get the tarot's and relics but when i go to my fleeces the goat option isn't there :(

For people struggling:
You need to activate co-op just once. Once you do that, go on a crusade and willingly die, you will be transported to the statue to unlock the goat. You do not need the bought DLC for this

Update: Nevermind! I finally got the cutscene. It came up postgame (after defeating the one who waits).

You don’t need to die to unlock the form just connect a 2nd player and the option to buy it will be unlocked. You still need to die to get the tarot cards.

I'm lucky I died on a heretic and didn't have to sacrifice my cult members in cult of the lamb

I tried the same thing but the only thing I get was the terra card the relics and I said I went back to my cult and the goat was nowhere to be seen

I FOUND A FIX. If it doesn’t work then wait for update. But just connect another remote and do co-op. Then leave co-op and go into ur fleeces the goat will appear.

I have a Nintendo light and I get the little exclamation mark in the crown yet no goat 😭 someone help me please
