Is there a Scarlatti fan club anywhere in the world? He is one of my favourite composers along with Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, CPE Bach, Louise Farrenc, Mendelssohn, Hummel, Kuhlau etc., etc.,
And you for your wonderful renditions of Scarlatti's works. Seeing the score adds to the enjoyment.

This is one of my all time favorite pieces to play.  It is just fun and feel really wonderful to the hands while playing it.  It is as beautiful playing it as it is hearing it.

I spent half my life learning Bach and Scarlatti on the guitar, then thought wow the piano I'm 55 now, live and learn

1:56 Those minor 6th's create such an interesting sound. I can't help to hear them as a more modern augmented 5th arpeggio that sci-fi movies like to use all the time.

I'm so glad I found this. In a previous piano class about 18-19 years ago, I learned how to play this piece, but didn't remember who composed it. You played this so beautifully.

I've listened to and enjoyed several of your videos now; really like seeing both the score and overview of the keyboard. One small quibble about this performance: you don't give enough time to the four full measures of rest (two in each half), which are further prolonged with fermatas. These silences done properly can have a magical effect.

Heard this in Rome 1985, so I bought it on cassette with several other sonatas played by Horowitz and they have been with me ever since.

If I'm not mistaken at 1:45 (bar 59-60) E should be natural ;-) while you remain on the D#.

For those who want to know the name of this piece.  It is Sonata in E Major K531/P535/L530 by Dominico Scarlatti

I've been a long time subscriber to your channel now. It always amazes me how quickly you can learn and record new pieces, and always extremely well polished and executed . Anyways I'm quite pleased to see that you're recording Scarlatti. I'm definitely looking forward to more!
