We've had social media for only 10 to 15 years at most and it has disrupted our processes in so many positive ways. We had no such media for 1000s of years.
Just because something was so for 1000s of years doesn't necessarily mean that it will revert to the old state. But let's keep an open mind anyway.

Glad this nation state system is getting it's due traction. J Sai Deepak has done a detailed analysis of this in his book. This system has it's roots in the Protestant Christian Westphalian peace in Europe. Which was later exported to the colonies by the coloniser and later internalised by the independent colonies by the imposition of the standard of civilization by the international law

By this logic, India will break up into different empires again.
Then again the empires will fight each other and try to control the subcontinent.
I think Nation State concept helped unify India.

People all rooting for democracy really dont understand that a democracy is bound to be demolished in few centuries if not 1.
The sole reason and a major loophole in the system is that it wants to please everyone and in turn looses the essense of leadership and vision of the ultimate goal. It ends up in a mockery with no ground work being done.

That being said, it is also true that an unworthy empror/ ruler is far more dangerous than anything.
To sum up a middle ground must be found. Also the whole reason why democracy came to existance was that there was a dearth of worthy candidates for rulers and there was no checks and accountability for a ruler. Keeping all these things in mind a better system must be curated.

Anyhow, the major underlying assumption which a democarcy does is that the people who are electing the governement know what is good for them and the state. Unfortunately that is not the case with us!

Nation state concept had a key of nationalism in it, we have seen during 1900s imperial government supporting the idea of nation state like Sardinia Piedmont of Italy and Prussian kingdoms of Germany, it can be that now the imperials do the same and support nation state while being imperialist like what Napoleon did by putting administrative form of government

200% disagree. Nation state is far better than an imperial system. I would like to live in a democratic state rather than a state controlled by a family or a class of people.

If an idea is western that doesn't mean it's always a bad It's true that democratic nation state system has some loopholes but it's always better than a dictatorship.

Even if Nation State System is a Western concept it is still far better than Autocratic Systems.

The nation states have achieved more technological advancement and improvements in quality of life in the past few centuries than all the empires of the past few millennia. The nation state has outcompeted the empires of old, and it is here to stay. Russia and China are indeed empires, but they are already on the road to decline and perhaps even collapse.

Just because it’s a new concept why does it become artificial? I’d argue the nation state system with a democratic government is the best the populace has ever had it, don’t see the rollback in strong democracies like India or the west.
