Mastering just one passing play is a great feeling because you know all 5 potential reads. You know when each route breaks and where to go if the user defender takes away one of your looks. You know to scan the field left to right calmly as the passing windows open up. You also know where to throw depending on down and distance which is the reason so many online gamers only have a few go-to plays. When you "go rogue" and call random plays, you only know the first 1 or 2 reads depending on what the defense looks like before the snap. So, if you guess wrong or the defense takes away your first look, you are in huge trouble! This is why having a base play is so important!
