Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday he has received a letter informing him that he is a target of the Justice Department's investigation into efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, an indication he could soon be charged by U.S. prosecutors.

New federal charges, on top of existing state and federal counts in New York and Florida and a separate election-interference investigation nearing conclusion in Georgia, would add to the list of legal problems for Trump as he pursues the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

When a permitted event is scheduled on the same day and time frame as Congress the policy is that the scheduled permitted event is to be vacated from the capital grounds completely prior to the start of the Congressional hearing event. Is there a point when we start questioning the validity of these charges? This is the what number of charge in relation to 2020? Why now? Why after all the other charges are they charging him now? Why did it take almost 3 years if this was such a severe act?
Just seems like the current admin is more focused on not allowing trump to run in 2024 versus beating him 2024.
