This recently completed painting was started in 2006 when I was living in Nelson, New Zealand. A beautiful colourful Japanese Acer tree dominated this painting as it changed into it's Autumnal shaded of orange and pink foliage, I gave up on this painting six years ago as I wasn't satisfied with the outcome and after a second attempt I have finally finished it.
The painting is on a canvas frame and I used acrylic paint, lots of it!

I am pleased with the outcome although in hindsight, I probably would have preferred to restart the whole painting from scratch.
