Thanks Mike for covering all the tests in detail for ISRO, it really helped refresh my memory. I follow ISRO program very closely but even I'm surprised with this pad abort test since there was not much news from ISRO about this before. As per my view, in next 5 years ISRO surely will send crew module into space and will bring it back. But to take human to space will take anywhere between 10-15 year. But all this to happen ISRO first need to finish it's semicryogenic engine to increase payload capacity of GSLV mk3 to greater than 4000kg. I follow your space pods, you really cover all space development across the globe very well. Keep doing so..!!

@SpaceMike,
Just a clarification for you: That plunge at the end was a deliberate drop test meant to study the G-forces for impact, in case some problem were to happen with the parachutes.
They did do preliminary drop tests with a helicopter, but this was a cut-off drop test done at a higher speed of descent.

It looks a lot like the Soyuz launch escape system and that seems to work well so why change it :-)

First Spacex, then ISRO somewhere in 2025. With the current issues with Soyuz, the pressure will be on Boeing to speed up!

So, is this Mike's own private or personal space channel apart from the TMRO group channel that he is a crucial part of?
