WEEK 94: Climbing the Traunstein

Strenuous, steep, and stunning.

Three words to describe our latest hike up the Traunstein, the highest mountain on the Traunsee peaking at 5,548 ft and directly across the lake from our home in Gmunden.

At 10 AM, we began our ascent up the Traunstein via the Naturfreundesteig klettersteig route. By 2pm we were standing at the summit.
