Sounds good for new grads but is peanuts. After tax is only £3k/month. Now decent 1 bed is £1500/month add council tax, utilities, travel, food, going out, gym etc and you are probably lucky to have £500 or so left over. So your lucky to save £6k (but probably not after factoring vacation etc).

Wow working full-time 35 hours a week you would only make £29, 000 with £14 an hour. I feel like money isn't everything working 14 hours a week you then basically have no life outside of work. This has put me off an investment banking career, plus with all that stress don't expect to have a full head of hair in 1-3 years working as a IB.
