Even with 4GB Samsung still can't multitask.

LG won it for me, multitasking is handy.

Yet again, Samsung shows how the mighty specs doesn't fair well with shitty software. For me, I don't care if apps open in .5 second or 5 seconds. I just want to be able to switch between apps fluidly and quickly. If the specs of previous smartphones were fine in years past, there is no reason that we need such beefy specs for the same apps.

the Note 5 is the fastest smartphone out, it just needs a software update to fix the memory/ram issue

Someone should make a leaderboard of the times of all the phones that PhoneBuff has done so far.

Great comparison. Surprising results!  I enjoyed your commentary about it as it was happening. Informative.

4 freaking gigs of ram and still has to reload all apps? Perhaps touchwiz hasn't changed that much.

Samsung touchwiz is always shit at multitasking for some odd reason.

Putting 4GB of RAM in a phone, talking it up as a spec, and then completely defeating the purpose by setting your memory values to be as aggressive as possible is pretty pathetic. The RAM is basically just wasting space. Might as well just put 1GB in the Note. It would multitask the same.

I don't even care if the Note is faster overall with reloading all of the apps. Nothing is more annoying than jumping back to an app you were just using and having it reload, especially if you were in the middle of something or trying to compare something between two apps or web pages. Sad.

Well done Samsung, very well done. Note 5 is a Beast....

This proves that LG was right to choose sd808 over sd810!

I like Samsung, and I own a Note 4, but I have to say they really haven't been impressing me at all lately. The S6 is the first S phone to not have a removable battery, and it has the worst battery out of any S phone. The Note 5 has the exact same CPU as the S6, and the only real upgrade is the RAM, which you can clearly see does absolutely nothing. I'm sticking with my Note 4 on KitKat, nothing else on the market is appealing to me.

Can you please do a Note 5 vs G4 again after they have been updated to Android Marshmallow?

G4 to the Note 5: "Dude I almost had you!"

Whoa. That Exynos chip is stupid powerful, the Note 5 flies. But regardless of who won, it was just really exciting watching this test. Like a football game or something! Great work.

lg would win in second lap if it had buttons like note5.. i mean you spend at least 0.5 sec on swiping up to show home button.. so lg is winner for me..

And yet the OnePlus 2 feels the snappiest in daily usage.
