Need more Noir movies where you have minimal color where the actors acting have to sell it but it’s backed by certain colors being in that makes the scene and backdrop so much more impactful sin city was just beautiful a work of art cult classic

I first saw this movie when I was 12-13 years old, scared the sht out of me but this opening scene took a hold on my young brain That I still can’t get out of. Watching it now it’s still one be of the greatest openings iv ever watched.

this scene has always stuck with me ever since I first saw it in the cinema back in 2005, especially the way Josh Hartnett says "...or your voice"

I remember when I was a kid and this movie came to DVD my dad would always play it and I was so entranced by the color style because that's always how I dreamed, in black and white and very obvious things like red lipstick, or a green aligator would pop up every now and than but other than that the style fit a very dreamlike element for me and as a kid I was always so taken aback.

its supposed to be visually striking. its a graphic novel/comic book whatever, it wasnt supposed to look realistic it was supposed to be sureal

The scene you looked at here WAS shot entirely in front of a green screen. I never saw it as low quality video though. Maybe they are trying to give it a 40's film noir appearance.
