In this episode we have special guest Tommy Tang, the Director of Computational Biology at Immunitas Therapeutics. Tommy is a computational biologist with over ten years of computational experience and six years' wet lab experience committed to reproducible research and open science. At Immunitas Therapeutics, Tommy employs a single-cell sequencing platform to dissect the biology of immune cells in human tumors by using machine learning approaches and cloud computing. Before all of this, Tommy was a lead scientist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Narrowed down the challenges and resolution of the single cell transcriptomics to a T. Had to go through many more chats and readings to collect all the raised points myself before watching this.

What is the prospect of using genes necessary for the specialized cells' development from parent stem cells? I'd imagine these would add an extra layer of confirmation on top of existing markers, which tmi are genes expressed at a much much higher level in the specialized cells marked than all other cells in the cell mixture.
