He sounds very good and that was just the first sing-through! What a shame he didn`t play that role. What a shame. Thank you for posting Andrew.

Geeat voice! He is THE George Dillingham of this unforgettable and wonderful romantic musical production by Andrew Lloyd Webber! Timr for a revival both in London and New York!

Thanks so much for sharing Andrew - had always wondered if there was any audios of his rehearsals - and what a shame that he doubted himself so much that he withdrew from Aspects of Love. He sounds great here and I think he would've been phenomenal

George doesn't need to be a singer, and he would have been just fine. What a shame he doubted he could do it.

What a pleasure to hear this. I always assumed he was tone deaf when he quit, but he would have been a wonderful George.

Thanks so much for sharing this.
I'd love to hear more of him in the role - "She'd Be Far Better Off With You" for example.

A wonderful but untrained voice. I wish there was Moore!

I wholeheartedly agree..a special man. Such a fine example of a human being. I remember reading in GQ magazine at that time that Roger Moore was leaving the cast, and I was sad to read that news. I was happy that he was involved in a production of such a magnitude, but disappointed that he had dropped out. Honestly, I have heard him sing a couple of times, once in a Dame Edna appearance with "You've Either Got or You Haven't Got Style", and something else that I can't recall. I was not impressed. Even though this is not the best recording, he actually sounds excpetional and defies my low expectation. For such a well-loved actor, its too bad he had some insecurities that might have undermined his confidence. I know he was self-depricating to cut the critics off at the pass, so I think he may have felt out of his element in live stage and singing. Besides, the London Theatre critics are brutal snobs, and I would think he'd want to avoid being in their gunsights. I would have loved to have seen this had it gone according to plan, and if I was in London at the time. Would have, could have, should have. God bless ya, Sir Roger!

Holy shit. So much going on. A terrified star.... pretty good...could have been career RE-defining. But maybe leave legend in their place? Who can say? I was moved. Hey ho, world will keep on turning. RIP.

There is a professional recording out there..they played audio of him singing on some BBC Andrew Lloyd Webber special without giving credit.
