Perfect timing for this video. struggled with distance at the range couple days ago and watched video of myself and I was hitting driver more like an iron. This was a simple reminder, keep front shoulder up. Instant distance.

So much of instruction is getting your feel as you perform the swing Eric demonstrates. For me, focusing on hand path makes the shoulder work. As Eric says all the time, video yourself and check yourself. Use whatever feel you need to get the result.

these are awesome. you ever think about putting together a "playlist" in the order of how you'd teach someone new the fundamentals? like video 1 setup, video 2 backswing, video 3 downswing, video 4 rotation etc. i think this would help me quite a bit and likely others too!

Eric, is it important to maintain swing speed through impact? Today while playing, I had a drive go the right ( not a slice ). But I felt like just before impact I slowed way down. It was like hitting a bad bunker shot.

I have been working on my driver the last few weeks and gained speed from 150 to 167 ball speed. I am using my left hip as the trigger to start my down swing and allowing my arms to whip through the ball as I try to stay back. It has been helping to keep the ball straight and gone from fade / hook to draw. How does the left shoulder fit in that process?

Wow, I just submitted my driver swing video to my Cogorno instructor about an hour ago. This video explains exactly everything about my driver swing. Older golfer and hitting down on the ball with a low launch angle and a MAJOR loss of distance. Your "Right Palm Down YouTube lesson from P2-P3" was a game changer for my irons and hybrids. But I have struggled to make that lesson work with the driver. Perfect timing! Thanks, Eric!
