Personally I like it even darker than that, and with even more seeds of some kind, be it sunflower or something else, but yea homemade rye bread with still a little bit heat left from baking is the best! For a lot of Danes this is still bordering on white bread

That is not rugbrød. That's some white bread with a little darkness to it. Hello from Denmark
