Fake reviews are a big problem on Amazon. There are Facebook groups where bad actors solicit paid positive reviews to bots and click farms that upvote negative reviews in an effort to take out competition. These illegitimate reviews can boost sales of unsafe products and hurt business for legitimate sellers, causing brands like Nike and Birkenstock to sever ties with Amazon.

Meanwhile, Walmart is looking to catch up with Amazon’s dominance in e-commerce as more and more shoppers take their business online. This is why Amazon dominates online shopping.

CNBC, you're thinking in the wrong direction. Don't start with videos you want to group and come up with a title for them. Come up with a question/title and see whether you have enough videos to group together. Otherwise you end up with problems like this one, where the title is "Why Amazon dominates online shopping", but I'm watching 15 minutes of how a YouTuber earns money. Even at that point you mainly talk about Walmart and fake reviews. This is a 44 minute tangent.

I've NEVER understood the Amazon hype. I don't care if there are pages and pages of options when 90% of it is knockoff cheaply made, defective, rebranded, or expired products. I hear so many people say Amazon is soo much cheaper, but that was never my experience even with the Subscribe and Save option. When I broke down the cost per unit for the items sold in the pack and the single unit option for my staple items it was actually cheaper to buy them at Target or Walmart. On top of that, shoppers have to play detective and really vet an item before purchasing due to extreme marketing & review manipulation tactics that Amazon employs. Not to mention the lack of regulatory oversight over the medicinal and editable items sold on their website combined with their inadequate inspection of third-party sellers. As well as their enormous environmental strain and complete absence of accountability to protect brands. They can't even honor the one-day or two-day shipping perk that comes along with being a Prime member anymore and we live just two hours away from their Seattle headquarters. My husband finally decided to cancel his Prime membership this month for a few reasons but, partly due to shipping delays. Since April/May of 2020, none of his Amazon orders have shipped in two days as advertised.

Online grocery shopping isn't a new concept as suggested in this video. Here in the UK, online grocery shopping from supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda has been occurring for several years - even before the likes of Walmart and Amazon decided to upscale their involvement in the sector.

On a cursory side note, the grocery market is a more mature and established sector in the UK than the USA; hence why competition lead to online grocery shopping occurring in the UK with greater zeal many years ago.

I have tried Walmart grocery pick up etc. They are slow and inefficient. Amazon has customer obsession that creates loyalty. Walmart doesn't have that focus, so I am not a fan of being treated as a burden.

We should all crowd fun another online shop that we all have apart of and rival Amazon. Will never get big but imagine if we could get it to blow up
