WAGing... but: since the square root of 4 isn't really 2... it's 2 OR -2 <- maybe this has something to do with it? Perhaps nature has some way of knowing that some 4s were "born" from 2*2 and other 4s were "born" from -2*-2 OR perhaps put another way, it has some way of "expecting" or "preferring" that a sqr(4) to be either the + or - option, and the complex stuff is there "accounting" for the negative possibilities. ( I know this is v.possibly not even wrong ;-) but here it is anyway, a post on youtube )
