'Sultans of Swing' Meets Metal - Dire Straits (solo)

This is just one of those songs. Sultans of Swing was put on a burned mixed CD I had in high school made by my best friend and it was on ROTAAAAAAATION. Dire Straits in general are just a treat anyway. This was actually my first attempt to play it correctly (without a pick) but also a nice way to see inside my head about how I go about transforming a song. I could play over the backing of Sultans of Swing until the wheels are rusty haha. One of these days a full cover will come but my idea for it is extreme so fingers crossed it'll happen someday.

This guitar solo always stuck out to me because it almost comes out of nowhere for a song that's usually a lot more laid back and vocally-focused...and then this absolute masterpiece comes in and blows you away.
