13:34 Did I hear that right? Instead of rescuing people they decided to just bury

The fact that they FILLED THE HOLE instead of RESCUING PEOPLE… I could understand why the wife needed to be under house arrest while it was happening.. if I was her I would have went after ANYONE who was involved in making that decision

Four of us were on our way home from a long week of work in Midland Texas. It was midnight. We were headed back to Austin when an 18 Wheeler got in front of us. He thought there was an exit, but it was an overpass and the truck hit the guardrail, burst into flames and exploded as it fell to the road below! Everything went into slow motion and our car was covered in diesel gas from the tank exploding as we passed! We are so lucky to be alive today to tell the tale!

#3 I can’t believe they didn’t rescue those people in the sinkhole instead of filling it in and killing them. That’s so sad

The fact there were thin patches of ice at all meant that reservoir wasn't thick enough for a full-sized vehicle to safely cross.
You want a good foot of thickness before something that big gets on there.
They were super lucky.

I live in Santa Barbara and was there in the Microburst when it happened! Had my young son and was right in that area over on the boulevard. Was insane. Never seen anything like it, especially in SB. I grew up here because of meteorology in family and still never had heard of a micro-burst yet know every cloud name out there. Lol. I saw the first shot in this vid and thought “looks like SB” but didn’t think it’d be in this video.

The first one, I'm 99% sure that it was a fuel line that gave out/disconnected that caused the gas fire. Seeing as it started at the front of the car, under the engine, that's about the only thing it could be. Once it popped, it started dripping fuel, and just about any tiny spark could have ignited it, especially if the fuel line was held on by a metal clamp, and the clamp end was bouncing on the ground. (I'm a mechanic, and am just giving it my best educated guess :) )

#9 - I'm sorry, but that truck driver is WRONG to be blaming dispatch, while they say what route to go, its YOUR job as the driver to know if its safe to do that route and not find an alternate route. You as the driver are responsible for the safety of your rig and load, NOT dispatch.

That jet-blast of flame shooting out of the manhole at 16:19. That musta been a pants filling experience.

I am a retired older man. Used to own semis- late 70's -mid 80's. Dispatch, only gives you the DESTINATION, on your load paperwork / bill of lading, etc. No where, in my experience hauling asphalt, diesel, CRUDE OIL, ((field wells- did ALOT of this )) cement powder / cattle / grain / acid / liquid fertilizer. do i recall any ' preferred, or alternate ''' route. ONE, must of necessity, check-out the various routes to that destination ; then, choose the shortest one. Then, check for scales / toll gates / LOW OBSTRUCTIONS, ( like trestles, overpasses, etc ) and weight restrictions, if there are any. Then, choose the safest route, while still holding onto the shortest one = CHOOSE wisely. Your life, and equipment / pocket book will thank you . ! DRIVE COMMON-SENSE = put that phone in the trunk ; ALONG with your ' schedule '. Drive to arrive, ALIVE = not 'time' dependant. Times are NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE.... Turn off gps - USE A PAPER MAP ...and PAY ATTENTION.

My husband was driving towards Atlanta, and on the right of us was a Suburban (a car length ahead of us) which veered into the metal protector (I don’t know the name) on the right side and then skidded to the left as if on ice but it hadn’t rained. It then flipped over and right in the front of us but we were able to veer away (other cars must have had to break but at those speeds nobody can stop to help, unfortunately).
I know it isn’t the topic of the video…but the accident stayed with me (around 10yrs ago).

After witnessing the poltergeist activity on film, I couldn't sleep. Those scary moments caught on camera felt too close to home
