Asimo, Honda's innovative well-balanced robot steps into Canadian Museum of Civilization's Japan Tradition Innovation Exhibition !


Several hundred were in attendance to see Asimo, Honda's innovative robot who ran across the stage at ~7km/hr, walked up and down stairs and talked to the audience.

Here Asimo steps down stairs.

All were gathered on this date that many had been planning for the past 10 years to hear the speeches of:
The Museum's outgoing Director of 10 years: Dr. Victor Rabinovitch
Japan's Ambassador to Canada: Kaoru Ishikawa
Partnering ?Director: Makoto Takeuchi?of the Edo-Tokyo Museum
Honda Canada Executive Vice-President: Jerry Chenkin
The Canadian Museum of Civilization Curator for the Japan Innovation Tradition Exhibit: Alan Elder

Subaru and Toshiba organizations also sponsored this highly collaborative Japan Exhibit of the Museum. It opened Friday, May 20, 2011 and runs (at times with Asimo) until October 10, 2011
