I know that a band like the Eagles, had great success, with multiple lead vocalists & 38 Special held their own, the same way. But, I prefer bands with one good front man/lead vocalist. That's just me. The songs with Donnie carrying the lead vocals, are my personal favorites. I really like their early stuff, the most. Their 1st couple of albums are what drew me, to the band. I liked the country blues elements & those albums had more variety, in my humble opinion. No disrespect intended. The more pop influenced stuff they did, later, was good, too. Can't deny the commercial success.

Well nobody is Ronnie but the brothers are little better than mediocre im sure Ronnie is proud of the job his kid brother has done both brother are cool very nice people too met them more than once

Why did Skynyrd go with the youngest brother instead of the middle brother ? Why not do the senority thing ? Johnny and Donnie are both interchangeable with me, both are mediocre when compared to Ronnie ....I'm guessing Gary must have thought Johnny was better or maybe he thought going with an unknown frontman was better than going with a known frontman. I gave you a thumb up again and it's more than you ever gave me ....Zulu
