Steve realising that the petrol station in the middle of the track was the pit lane had me cracking up 😂😂

They should really embrace the meme and give this race a go with some minivans or something like that 😂

I really enjoy these meme oval races - I feel the move from sweat mode to fun mode creates good vibes in these lobbies. Fun races. GGs

The guy who got second place in the race where you won, his name was “two-threes” and he came second by .033. SuperGT stages races confirmed?

I've heard that the Special Stage X track was designed loosely from the Expressways of Japan, and particular those between Narita International Airport, heading west to the Port of Chiba, and Tokyo Bay. One end of the loop would include the Tokyo Aqua Line, (bridge and tunnel) which crosses Tokyo Bay in Chiba. This route would also pass by the Tokyo Skytree, which a form of is featured on the track. Scaled down, this could be the inspiration for the entire circuit, but I guess only the Polyphony devs would know for sure. Also, the radio telescopes could be based upon Misasa (JAXA) Tsukuba Space Centre, built in this era to replace the Msuda Centre, and not too far away from Narita Airport (by scale). In any way, Special X seems very much an ode to Japanese high speed roads, incorporating some famous landmarks with a twist.

I feel like doing this with the Tomahawk would be fantastic, especially if you can change how the gearing would be, because a single wrong move equals the shadow realm

This race could possibly be even better if Polyphony added a side-draft mechanic on the ovals. Another tactical element to consider here

Dude this brings back such good memories of GT6 racing at 300 mph in our R35s and TZ3s. Back then those were like the fastest road cars in a straightline and slipstream in GT6 was just so comical and the races all came down to who timed their NOS perfectly haha.

This track is the pinnacle of racing, so difficult to get it right. Even after hours of practice it’s still hard to master this piece of engineering.

Probably wouldn't work, but might have been kinda funny picking the Mazda and using all the NOS at the start. Then see how long it takes for everyone to catch up.

The mercedes engine seems extremely good to be run at max rev for such a long time without blowing up. The boys at the factory are doing a fantastic job as always.

Kudos to these guys for the clean racing. I tried this race yesterday and by the time we reached the first corner it was a nightmare.

The inner American and nascar fan in me fucking LOVES this raced, lmfao. I love pack racing, and I really think this proves NASCAR drivers race much more technically than most people think. (Imagine this for 500 miles!) The intricacies and precise, calculated moves are what makes oval pack racing so damned awesome in my opinion.

This race felt like an old Fast and Furious movie, especially with the nitrous and passing every car at 5:50.

Appreciate the play-by-play breakdown of the winning lap immediately after the voice over breakdown of the winning lap. 👍
