Tableau Metadata API - What is it and how to use GraphQL?

This video was very helpful. What is the endpoint used by Tableau? I understand how to use the GraphIQL interface, but I want to use something else to automate the GraphQL calls. What endpoint do I use to perform these queries with Powershell or some other scripting language?
