Thanks a lot for telling me that not only is there a big glass piece there that comes out, but also that the lcd is adhered to said piece and it is so stuck that I didn't even realize it came apart. I cracked the glass pane trying to take it out not even realizing it was there. This was mentioned nowhere - no documentation in the replacement lcd package, not mentioned on this page, not pointed out in the video whatsoever. For the love of god do better please this is the link you provide on the inside of your product this should be accurate and COMPLETE.

this video does not describe the actual process in anyway, shape or form. It is a damn good thing I have a lot of experience repairing old iPhones. The LCD is glued/taped to a a glass pane and that is glued/taped to the frame. You will get both to come out at the same time and care MUST be taken in removing the LCD from the glass. I used plastic pry tools and guitar picks to separate them, but would recommend a low power heat gun to loosen the glue first.

Here is my way to remove the screen without water or damaging the Glass.

Take the Connector and pull the connector through the opening where the old tape for the screen was to the upper side where the brackets are.
Then gently pull upwards while holding the Connector.
The old screen will easily go off. takes 10-15 seconds to do so

When i lifted the screen, the thick glass protecting the led came off with it. i used an exacto knife to carefully separate the glass from the screen. Everything else went smooth as butter!

Where can I buy the replacement screen for Mars 2 Pro. After leveling the screen already had a scratch from the paper.. ;(

Makes the process look far easier than it really is - getting the front off, getting the old screen out are noticeably more difficult in reality but the most challenging is reattaching the cable at the end. This video makes it look like you just press the end on but that is not the case. Still trying to work out how to do it

I got a replacement screen from Elegoo, and it says Mars 2 and Mars 2 Pro compatible on the box. It had everything you need to replace the screen including the small double sided tape to attach the screen to the frame. However when I used this video to replace the screen, some things weren't accurate such as pulling the old screen up from the corners cracks it, you have to lift from further under the screen. Plus the new screen is almost half the thickness of the original and actually sits lower in the mount. I am hoping this was an update so that the screen doesn't crack as easily but I can't find any reference for this change or confirm that this is the way it is now supposed to be.

Ok, the instructions on the replacement screen pointed me here, what are the large number of strips for then?

Managed to get the glass off the old screen - boiling hot water and a sharp scalpel turned out to be the answer. Put the old screen with the attached glass in the hottest water you can find (I used some out of the hot tap, topped up by a boiling kettle), too hot to put your hand in. The screen/glass combo doesn't need to be in there long so fish it out with some tongs then work a sharp scalpel / craft knife in between the glass and old screen and work round the screen. I got about 3/4 of the way round and the glass just popped off (so do this on something soft - you don't want to break the glass after all that). ELEGOO - you need to do these videos with properly used kit, just like the people following this will have, not pristine stuff straight out of the factory

So everyone is aware the LCD screens is TAPED to tempered glass underneath. It is very hard to remove - use hot water to help.
