BMW: Tell us you let yourself get completely mothballed by the BEV disruption.
Meanwhile, who could have foreseen that legacy automakers would be facing an existential crisis over BEVs?
HEVs: This ship has sailed, even for busses.
Tesla Semi: But BobbleheadBob said they would never work and we all know he never makes stuff up.

Interesting fact, A record-breaking 1.7 million EVs were sold globally over the month of September, according to research-house Rho Motion. September overtook the previous record set in December 2023 by 150, 000 units.
The Chinese market beat their previous record set in August by 90, 000 vehicles, to reach 1.1 million units sold in September 2024. Overall, 11.5 million EVs have been sold globally so far this year, growing by 22% Year To Date (YTD).
Snapshot of electric vehicle sales in January - September 2024 vs Jan-Sept 2023:
Global: 11.5 million, +22%
China: 7.2 million, +35%
EU & EFTA & UK: 2.2 million, -4%
USA & Canada: 1.3 million, +10%
Rest of World: 0.9 million, +25%
So why is PHEV something we should look at? Does anyone hear this from the media constantly pounding the drum of PHEV? Sounds like complete oil company, repair shop, dealer propaganda.

There is no legislating or Tariff solution to China taking leadership over the worldwide car market. Chinese students have taken over engineering universities decades ago and now are seeing the results- world-leading EV and battery development and technology. This was a conscious decision and countries like the USA chose badly when American schools concentrated on more Business and Finance graduates as well as $125 million High school football stadiums for that matter. Those counties that master Science and Math rule the future.

DHL sayingthat the Tesla Semi can do 500 miles range confirms what another German company ( Daimler) CEO said, "if Semi does 500 miles they are breaking the laws of physics".😂

Consider. You're a business. You can do math. You understand what controls the bottom line.

Tesla sells a 18-wheeler that will pay for itself in about three years via fuel/maintenance savings. Then give you many more years of very low cost opex.

How rapidly would you start offloading your diesel rigs to people who haven't figured it out yet and buying Tesla semis?

Nice to finally see hydrogen infrastructure going up for heavy and public transportation

Funny how “bad news” about Tesla always starts your videos but good news is pushed to the end… 🤨🤔
In any case, the more companies testing Semi, the more orders Tesla will get. Any company that has warehouses that can support solar would realize the crazy amount of money the Semi will save them - and at the end of the day there’s only one thing these companies care about, and that ROI.
Tesla is ramping up demos as it build the factory in Reno. There’s going to be a waitlist of a several years by the time it is started and it will ramp up to produce 50, 000 Semi a year - 20% of total semi tractor production in the US 🥳

God imagine how much its gonna coast those bus comapnys to fill those hydrogen buses

Physics, logistics and business principles are against hydrogen. While reporting everyone's silly forays into hydrogen, it'd be nice to hear a little reporting on the impracticality of hydrogen. Michael Bernard explained it very well on Electrify everything

Carlos Tavares wants to keep the ice ban. Coming from someone who killed stellantis. 😂😂

Hey BMW dont cry in the USA you can keep making crappy dirty expensive ICE cars in non-union plants for big profits as long as tariff protections stay in force.

You can ask yourself who the EU is defending with the tax: not the manufacturers and certainly not the customers. The import tax is unwanted by most European car manufacturers.

First. Europe is really off its rocker. Close europlants and add Chinese brands? No advantage what so ever.

Wow BMW wants ice banned dropped they are so done with that attitude always the one with new technology wins look at Kodak

Tesla's Cybertruck was the third best-selling EV in the U.S. in Q3 2024, overtaking the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Cybertruck also sold more than 2.3x more units than the Ford F-150 Lightning. The Model Y and Model 3 were #1 and #2. Not bad for vaporware And a so-called "aging lineup".
