The red block is the spawn point, if you died you will respawn there and quickly teleported to the island you died, I have seen it happening when my internet is slow

About igloos, they have chests because u can actually fling these igloos with control. So these chests are small reward for control users

Back then, when the compass was first added, when reaching lvl 400, the compass will mark the actual spot of the underwater island (not the portal). Nowadays it just marks the portal to the underwater island.

Also If you reset in beautiful prince domain (turtle island ) you spawn on hydra island i used that for fast travel before unlocking the teleports

The red block is the which marks a island. In the mid town it is also there if u flash step to ur spawn point. I think there is a new island comming
I saw it in the jungle when i accidentally flash steped

You could also use control z to move the igloos and get the chests that way

The igloos can be removed with control ( because hot and cold and control has been added in the same update )

those red blocks are mygame43's essence after getting defeated by rip_indra he scattered his essence through all seas but his soul is in third sea at sea castle
